Q - What happens when I press the emergency alert buttons?
A – A ‘Help Me’ text will be sent followed up by a two-way voice activation, depending on phone type, the link can be downloaded and will show a map with the position of the device.
Q - How long does the battery last and does it have a low battery warning?
A – This depends on use, in stand by mode the battery will last upto 48hrs, but we recommend charging when not in use.
Q - What is the size and weight of my device?
A – PT-101 weighs 40g and measures 70.7x42.9x20.1mm, its tear drop shape adding to its small appearance.
Q - Is my device waterproof?
A – NO, we supply a lanyard, allowing the item to be worn in an area typically not subject to water.
Q - What do I do if my device does not work?
A - Firstly, ensure that your device is fully charged and that all three lights are flashing, showing that signals are being received. Then make sure that your SIM has credit.
Q - What is a roaming SIM and why would I need one?
A - A roaming SIM is required for use outside of the UK and improves network coverage inside the UK.
Q - Is there an on/off button?
A - Yes, a small recessed switch/button is located on the side of the device; we suggest that you switch the device off when not needed to preserve battery life.
Q - What is the Two-way audio feature?
A - When the wearer presses the SOS button, the device will send out an SOS message to the numbers programmed into the device. It will then proceed to call each number until answered, when answered you can speak to the wearer just like a normal phone call. Also, the call 1 or 2 button can be pressed to activate audio communication with the numbers programmed into these buttons.
Q - What is Text FIND
A - You simply text the device the FIND command (typically 123456F) and it will respond with the detailed co-ordinates of the wearer's position.
